Network Infrastructure
Redundant connectivity using a mix private peering and connections to multiple Tier 1 and Tier 2 providers including
Internap, BTN, and Savvis. Our primary facilities are in a location with access to over 100 networks.
Networking Equipment
Our network equipment consists of a mix of top of the line Cisco 7600 series core routers, Catalyst switches, and
Foundry BigIrons for transit. Our routers contain the latest IOS (operating system),
OSPF (Open Shortest Path First) routing, as well as BGP (Border Gateway Protocol) routing.
This allows 100% redundancy in the case of a link failure as well as providing our customers with the best
network path to your locations.
Physical Characteristics
Rhinoback operates out of two highly secure, state-of-the-art Internet Data Centers. The primary facility is
located in the heart of the the technology sector in downtown Atlanta, Georgia, with multiple fiber optic connections
to the major networks serving the US and the world. Electical power is supplied by separate substations, including the
power grid that supplies power to the Federal Reserve Bank which is located about 2 blocks away. In addition to the
highly reliable redundant power sources, we maintain battery backup power as diesel generators to ensure continuous
operation in the event of loss of utility power.
Physical Security
Access to the data center floor is secured by multiple physical checkpoints, security patrols, ssecurity devices,
as well as closed-circuit cameras that are monitored 24x7.
Environmental
The data center environment is closely controlled and monitored for temperature, humidity, smoke and fire. Top-of-the-line
fire detection and suppression systems are maintained at all times.
Data Security
All data is transmitted and stored in encrypted form at all times. Customer data is encrypted with Advanced Encryption Standard (AES)
using an encryption key that is set by the customer and is never known to anyone at Rhinoback. Even our engineers and technicians have
no ability to decyrpt your data. State-of-the-art firewalls and security monitoring are used to protect our servers, storage, and
your data at all times. Data security is a top priority in our software design and development.
